histories of Brant & Haldimand and surrounding

Where & When: Brant County Branch OGS Library at Smokey Hollow Estates, 114-118 Powerline Road, 2 miles east of
Gretzky Pkwy, Brantford unless stated otherwise. Usually the 4th Sunday of each
month at 2:00 p.m. (No meetings in June, July, August or December). Saturday
workshops may replace Sunday meetings. An open meeting with guest speaker and
the occasional ever-popular “Show and Tell”. The public is welcome. Light
refreshments served after the meeting. A great opportunity to meet, do some
research and talk to fellow genealogists. You will find it informative.

Membership has its reward. By membership we
are supporting the continuing preservation of historical records.
Membership to the Ontario Genealogical
Society and the Brant County Branch cost only $$72.00 (Individual, family or
Institution). You will receive the O.G.S. publications: 4 issues of
"Families" & "Newsleaf", and
the branch newsletters, 4 times a year (12), 4 free queries per year. Members
may borrow books from the library by signing them out with the librarian.
Membership applications are available by contacting our office or any other
Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society.

Charitable receipts will be issued for Canadian Tax purposes (for Donations).
Members may also participate in our Special
Interest Groups and use the branch library free
of charge.
The BRITISH ISLES STUDY GROUP meets at the
OGS library,
The FAMILY HISTORY STUDY GROUP meets at the OGS
library at 10:00am on the 3rd Thursday of each month (12 months).
A donation is appreciated toward library improvements.
Bring what you have and they will be glad to assist you. The groups are a great
place to meet fellow researchers and to obtain valuable assistance in your
pursuits of elusive ancestors.
